Songs of Allison Lenore Annalora (12)

Monika: "Johnny Angel" is a 1962 song written by Lyn Duddy and Lee Pockriss, performed by Shelley Fabares on her debut solo album titled “Shelley!”. I love the way Shelley used to sing it. Is your interpretation close to Shelley’s original?
Allison: Almost exactly! It was my first "favorite song" when I was in the second grade!!! I couldn't wait to see "The Donna Reed Show" and hope that she would sing it!
Monika: What is your favorite line in the song?
Allison: "How I tingle when he passes by..."

Monika: Shelley Fabares was a beautiful young lady. The song made her popular when it went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April 1962. In addition, she appeared in a number of motion pictures, including three Elvis Presley movies: Girl Happy (1965), Spinout (1966) and Clambake (1967). Do you remember her well?
Allison: Of course!!!! I bought the Sound Track Album for "Girl Happy" And I know she's a Capricorn......
Monika: The song is an expression of a teenage girl's romantic longing for a boy who doesn't know she exists that is why she declines other boys' propositions for dates. How romantic!
Allison: And...
Monika: Are you romantic yourself?
Allison: Absolutely!!!!!!
